As far back as I can remember, my goal was to become a Police Officer. It wasn’t about carrying a weapon, or having authority. I’ve always hated to see people take advantage of others; to see those who can’t or won’t stand up for themselves be mistreated. It may sound like a cliché, but I wanted to become a Police Officer to help others, and to make a difference in the community where my family lives. I believe, after 38 years in the profession, that there is still a lot of work to be done and differences to be made.
